-What tendencies in present-day American Society is Vonnegut satirizing?

* The tendencies in presen-day american society that vonnegut is satirizing that the people who are stronger, they make them have handicaps so that everyone is equal and that society is equal as well.

-Does the story argue for anything?

* The story argues for equality. He wants everything and everyone equal so that one person is not better than another person.

-How would you sum up the theme?

* The theme is everyone being equal. Also that people can be different and be individuals but still having the same amount of power as everyone else.

-Is Vonnegut Characterization of Diana Moon Glampers realistic? If not, why doesn't it need to be?

* No this character is not realistic but it is a symbol for "dumbing down" society as a whole.

-From what point of view is the story told?

*The story is told in 3rd person.
